Stumbled upon this question when seeing a rare scene at the street: a man wearing a hat in the evening in the city. Why don't men wear hats anymore? Is it because they're tired of taking it off to greet every woman they know?
No guy wants hat hair anymore ;) baseball caps are still worn, but I don't know any guy who takes those off to greet a woman (some may put their hand to the brim but that's rare). Sometimes the vest wearing gentlemen player types wear hats as well, they do at least tip the hat slightly (but still haven't seen many remove it unless they can do a flip with the hat and show off a bit). I like cool/amusing hats but I don't wear them much (they make my head too hot and mess up my hair).
